Hairee's 1st Year Birthday Party on Saturday, 18th October 2008

Hairee’s birthday party was a success. We managed to fit everyone into my parent’s house and amazingly no raining on that day, Alhamdulillah. The plan of having this party came from my mom when she indirectly invited some of her friends and relatives during raya visits to house on 18th for ‘Hairee Kenduri DOA Selamat’. So after having long thought, we decided to make it big as to celebrate his 1st birthday.

The party started at 2pm with Kenduri DOA Selamat for about almost 1 hour. By 3pm guests started coming in fulfilling the canopy and house. While waiting for hubby’s parents to come, we managed to sneak into to the crowd talking to some guests and having fun with a clown.

We served nasi tomato, ayam merah, kuah dal, nasi impit, mee goreng dan desserts.

At 3.30pm, after all of the crowd surfing and clown playing, Hairee was placed into his highchair and the crowd gathered around. The candles were lighted-up onto the flaming SR cake where Hairee’s face was generated on it and Happy Birthday song was turned followed by the crowd rejoiced by singing Happy Birthday together! The candle was blown out by three of us, Hairee, Daddy and Ibu.

The event went smoothly. Special thanks goes out to everyone that attended, everyone who was kind enough to bring a gift, green & red ‘angpou’, my mak for the great planning, my relatives for helping hosting and cleaning-up the chaos after the party. We love you all so much…mission accomplished.
