Hairee's 3rd Year Performance for 2010 Graduation

We left home early last Sunday to send my dear Hairee to school before 7.30am for preparation of his 3rd year performance. The School changed the graduation location to SRJK Yuk Chai which is not far from Taska. Instead of having to talk about the excitement of the concert, he was "thrilled, obviously" talking about hopping on the bus with his friends from Taska to Yuk Chai School, budak2 kan seronoknya naik ramai macam pergi school trip.

He already took the bus 3 times before for rehearsal and keep telling me how happy he was and reminding me not to be late to the school (i must send him by 7.30am on rehearsal day) and keep saying 'Ibu, Teacher Teo said tomorrow we take the bus again'. Too bad we could not wait until he hop on the bus as we have to leave him at Taska, have breakfast and wait at the graduation location.

Anyway, the concert started on time at 10am and he got the chance to performance first. He did so well this year much better than last year and really enjoy the show.

Skrg dlm dilema tak sure nak register dia kat sekolah ini (reason sebab dekat tempat keje) or
Pin Hwa Setia Alam, takpe masih ada setahun lagi utk fikir.

3rd year boys performance 'Brush Your Teeth', Hairee at no. 3 from right
@ 1.40min, tiba2 dia terdiam dan menyorok kerana ternampak daddy depan mata..hahaha

3rd Year Girls Performance about 'TIGER' so cute especially girl no. 3 from right
Lepas itu ada show Merry Chritmas combination 3year boys and girls

Butterfly dia pegang tu ada ceritanya tersendiri

Sempat tengok sampai budak umur 4 tahun perform aje, tak tunggu sampai habis

Terus ke SS2 belanja dia makan MCD

Dia berak depan orang ramai...potty train

What do you feel when you’re in a middle of chewing a mouthful as you’re enjoying your food in the restaurant, and suddenly you spotted a big stinky black shit in front of you? Hahaha..mesti terus hilang selera kan. And it’s happened twice, dia berak bawah meja makan in two different places. Malu ooooo… lucky enough the ‘taik keras’, so we managed to wipe it off once with tissue. There were few other accidents like peeing in the car and home while potty training BUT this is the most hilarious scene ever. I was so embarrassed; I just could not even face-up to see anyone in the restaurant and forget the words of apology.

Anyway, I am so happy to say that Hairee is almost potty trained!

He is diaperless in a day time. For the last few days he was having a breakthrough, going to the toilet and taking off his own pant without me asking him to do so. I think we’re gonna be completely done within another month which means saving at least rm100 per month for diapers.

The last step of this stage is night-training. This is the hardest because he will have a hard time waking up fully during the night to ask for the bathroom. I am totally fine with Hairee sleeping with diaper for now.

Off topic: Gambar jari manis hairee kene air panas, just boiled. Meraung dia..cepat2 ku letak kat air paip for 5minute lepas tu letak ubat gigi, nasib tak bengkak cuba tukar kulit aje.

Suka DIA tiru kita

What will you do when your children start imitating your actions and words? Some parents would say it will be incredibly cute to see them start to mimic those around them, mmm…YES but sometime NO, I feel a bit annoying. Hairee has started to copy many, many, many things that I said and what depressing me was whenever I 'marah' him, he would just laughing (annoying hah!) and copy what I said. Contoh bila I kata, Hairee don’t do it, he will just smile and repeat what I said, don’t do it (geram kan).

Other than copying my words, he also likes to imitate our actions, especially daddy’s actions. He follows us around the house which sometime I just purposely stop and stood by the wall, he would do the same (selalu I nak tergelak). He is freaking obsessed with BEN10 now, he loves to follow what BEN10 is doing especially like knocking at BEN10's watch on his hand and turned himself to an alien..hahaha..serious no kidding (itu belum lagi cite pasal action stunt sampai pecah bibir recently). Not only BEN10, BATMAN, he even do the action of how his teacher at school said to him, holding a stick (ruler) and scolded him and his friends (berlakon dia lah cikgu tu..hahaha).

I personally don’t like when someone I called pakcik said to me that ‘macam mana perangai kita, macam tu lah perangai anak kita’. But at one point I agreed too, why so? Well, imitation isn’t always useful to children if the parents are not conducting themselves appropriately. Example, if we sit around and watch television all day, you can expect the same from your child.

Bukan senang kan nak jadi parents kan, skrg dia ikut apa kita buat bila besar nanti making friends, they can start to pick up habits and traits from their peers that we are not so crazy about.

As I browsing the internet this morning I found some good advice to share

The first thing to realize is that this imitation is incredibly normal! I am sure if you got a bunch of parents in a room, they could tell all sorts of tales of children imitating a friend, taking on mannerisms of a teacher and other behaviors. I found with my own children that it was usually the peers who were the most different from them, the ones who were doing things that they knew they could never get away with in our family--those were the ones they tended to attempt to mimic. And that was part of why it bothered me so much!

There are a few ways you can approach this one: you can try to ignore it and hope that it passes; the less attention you pay to the child when he or she is mimicking and imitating peers behaviors you don't approve of, the more likely it is that he or she will get tired of it and stop. You can also set limits without focusing on the behavior too closely. For example, instead of saying something like: "I hate it when you act like Suzy! Stop that whining!" you can say something like: "Whining isn't welcome in this house, please use your words without whining." Keep in mind that while the behaviors and mimicry may be reminding you of another child, it is still your child's behaviors that you need to tend to. Making comparisons or blaming another child for "making your child" act this way doesn't really address the issue and it can be confusing to your child. You can stay neutral and decide if you want to ignore it or set a limit around what is acceptable in your house and what isn't. Keep in mind, that children will be copying and mimicking others throughout their entire childhood--this is how they experiment, rebel, and try out different traits and behaviors to find out what fits for them.

Potty Training

I was informed by the school's guard that Teacher Teo wants to see me when I sent Hairee this morning. Hish..apa hal pulak. OOO..rupanya she asked if Hairee is ready for potty training and whether I dah ajar dia kat rumah. Yes I've been training him since early this year but just when I have the mood to do so..hehehe. Malu lah dgn teacher dia, she said he is the only one still wearing diaper, even his friends younger than him already diaperless. So, since teacher promise to teach him to be diaperless, I'm determine myself to make sure he is before end of this month. Sama ada berjaya atau tidak..tungguuuu.

Ini senyuman yg buat ibu cair nak marah kalau kencing sepah...

Bila dia mengamuk

This entry Ibu dedicated specially to little naughty Hairee.

Oh boy Hairee..Hairee..You have finally won a medal for being the loudest screamer in town. Yesterday evening he was screaming bloody murder like someone was trying to kill him and it was all started because he wanted a burger; yes! let me repeat again ‘burger’. From being a happy delightful boy he suddenly turned to be a monster and scream so loud until 10 blocks away could hear that.

He asked daddy to get his money from the car, yes he got his own money which he had been holding it since he left the school yesterday as he wanted to buy a toy. Every time when he wanted to buy toys, I always reluctantly asked if he has his own money as I don’t have enough to buy for him. So as he grows bigger he knows how to answer me back by saying his money is in the dashboard of the car…yah all the coins are his. And yesterday he was lucky with a little more than coins includes three ringgit note, itu dah kira banyak lah dia rasa, macam-macam nak beli.

So hubby generously gave the ‘pretending Hairee’s money’ and ‘dukung’ him jalan2 outside the house when he suddenly pointed out the burger stall from our neighborhood stall which is 10 blocks away. Turnout hubby prefer to create chaos at home when he refused to bring him there and passed on the problem to me. By then Hairee already started screaming intensely and throwing tantrums on the floor. He screams to the point no voice out and I've to bath him and quickly brings him to the burger’s stall (kakak kat burger stall tu terus tanya..kenapa hairee nangis..hahaha baru lah ku tahu sampai sejauh itu jeritan dia kedengaran). The temper could last forever if he did not get what he wanted. I’m so worried now and sometime this one thing could make me lose my temper more often than I would like.

Some of the neighbors even came out with queries faces. Ooh..I’m so embarrassed with the elderly next door; I guess this couple is so patient with us. We have been distressing their life with all kind of noises, crying, screaming, shouting includes quarreling. Deep breathing helps. Holding my crying child with my ears ringing has certainly been one of my greatest tests.

Bila dia dpt susun tinggi suka...tapi

kalau satu terjatuh..bila mood tak baik terus mengamuk..habis semua diruntuhkan

He goes to Kindergarten

My son has been in Kindergarten officially a total of 10 days and we've already settled into a routine. It is not the hardest things to do as he has been going to the same school since mid of last year..(echehh nak berlagak dgn mak2 baru yg menghantar anak ke school..mcm korang tak tau macam mana susah dia asyik nangis for the first 2 months termasuklah ibunya sekali).

Practically he did not learn much last year other that just ‘main-main’ and learn to sing a few new Mandarin and English songs. Actually last year he was famous with the title of late comer and always ponteng class...hahaha. Ooh..ya, nowadays he just loves sang ‘pagi-pagi gocok gigi, cuci muka minum susu pegi skolah’ pelat sikit lah.

Starting this year he will be learning to draw, ABC and coloring stuff like that. Having 90% of Chinese friends no surprise to say he could understand and speaks a little words of mandarin with his cousins and grandma. In fact we are paying extra fee for him to learn that language. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not pushing hard on him..YAH!!! I know he is not even 3 years old until this October but do I have a choice since I’m working. Besides having fun with friends at kindergarten, he could learn something new to occupy his time while waiting for me to fetch him at 5.00pm every day. Apparently he likes to go to the school now..not like before.

One morning with Hairee
The routine involves the normal things you might expect..

He was forced to sleep early since the first day of this year so he can wake-up by 7.30am to 8.00am depending on his mood. By 10.00 pm no more playing, no more tv..time for bed..after story telling..golek2 tidur gak lah..dgn maknya sekali.

Ok..I asked to pick-up that books..dengan tak rela hati..dia ambil lah.

Ibu..where is Hairee shoes???

Ok..ini eksyen aje..ku suh dia baca tu peter and jane tiap2 pagi sampai naik boring, tapi tak lama pun. He talks more than reading..penat ibu kene layan bebelan dia. Dgn broken english dia ckp dog play ball, akak take dog..where daddy, where nenek..mcm2 lah.

Normal routine every morning..TRAFFIC JAM !! I hate it.

Ok..dah sampai..before heading in..compulsory things to do every day..kissing and hugging.

Bye-bye Ibu..I love you.

See you later..sayang.

Graduation Day

Cite dah lama harap belum basi..kekeke

15 Nov 2009 lepas, Sunday..school Hairee ada graduation day for all from 2years to 6years. Start dari 9.00am to 11am,  teachers hairee dlm seminggu tu asyik reminded me to send him before 8.00am as they need to prepare and do make-over on them. Biasalah Hairee dah terkenal sebab hari-hari late to school, ada lah sekali dua datang 9.00 am sharp but most of the time datang 9.30 to 10.00am. Skrg tengah school holiday lagi lambat, 10.00am to 10.30am baru sampai, takpe no school just daycare, semua budak main-main aje.

Enjoy gambar2..nanti ku try upload video di youtube on his show that day. Dia selalu ponteng class masa nak dekat2 concert so mcm blur2 aje atas pentas..or better to say hairee mcm jakun sikit..wakakaka, dia asyik pandang atas bawah kiri kanan, asyik perhati baloon aje (dah itu dia punya favorite toys)..lepas habis concert asyik minta ibu ambik baloon yang tergantung tu. We all balik cepat tak tunggu habis show terus ke Mid-valley jalan-jalan cari barang untuk new house.

Sebelum masuk school ambik gambar dulu.
Terpaksa mandikan Hairee, basuh rambut supaya dia segar.

Ok..After 3years old kids show, it's time for 2 years kids to perform.
Hairee looks so cute, walking on the stage with his teacher.

He was totally blurrrr...kan.
Pandang belakang

Pandang Ibu
(Cuba perhati kaki Hairee sorang masih tergantung tak cecah tanah..wakakaka)

I asked him to smileee ;)))))

Ok dah habis pun performance..tapi si dia masih blur tengok atas pulak
(bila diri..hahaha..he is the shortest and 2nd youngest among them)

Chehh..bawa piano ada gaya..

Mesti ada memory picture with ibu tersayang

He was so happy..dpt jumpa friends.

Kasi chance naik spot car kat mid valley...bye all

Ibuiii...Daddy...

I couldn’t believe what i hear lollll

Yesterday, my little one has cheered me up by calling me “Ibuiii” when he was begging me to open the door.. Isn’t it sweet?? I was so happy and he did melt my heart! Actually, I’ve been teaching him calling me ‘Ibu’ since early days but he only says ‘Mama’. Later I heard he says 'Abuiii" but I don't expect him to call me 'Ibuii' this fast. The pronunciation still not perfect but the slang is there already.

Ok, everytime when he wants to go out, we always asked him to get a key which he did and what he do next? He'll insert the key into the small hole at the door by tiptoeing..so cute. We all tak ajar pun..hehehe

Amazingly, he is also able to call his father ‘Daddy’ yesterday. Willy is so happy and proud to hear that and kept asking little man to call him again and again. He first calling his father 'Abah' then later 'Dahdehh'.

He has learned and able to speak a lot of words like air, nek nek(grandma), abah (grandpa), book, car, ball, duck, light, kakak, abang, bird, cat, dog, buka (open) & many more! However, most of the words he’s only able to speak the last syllable.

He likes to play a trick with me now by on-off the TV when I was watching if I did not entertain his needs..so cheeky

Mengamok

My Hairee has temper tantrums, I think not severe yet..oh boy, he is so much like me, my mom said. An example of a “tantrum’ would be: when we were at the hospital recently, he was so excited walking towards the elevator and suddenly diverting his direction to the stairs case that he is crazy the most now. Hubby tries to get him away but he tries so hard by twisting his body throws on the ground and cries very hard.

Currently I think his 7th teeth started to come out, he has mini meltdowns all day long, being fuzzy and throwing tantrums when he wants something he can't have. There is little that will console him until he has had his very short cry. Then I usually quickly find something like toys; sing a song to distract him with. There were times I will hold him hard and carry him away, whisper something. I’m still trying my best not to handle in the harsh way with him.

He likes to stare at me when I was performing, and will start feel frustrating when I don’t look at him back.

I guess many of you have seen this picture. This is one of the scene of temper tantrums that we managed to take.

Hairee can walk now

My little boy showing us how is baby walking

At 13months +, Hairee has finally able to walk steadily without any supports. He started taking a few steps about 2 weeks ago but keeps falling down and honestly I’m not really sure when exactly that he was able to stand-up and walk independently, perhaps a couple of days ago. Now he is like a robot who does not know the meaning of tiredness, he just wants to walk and walk happily everywhere and will make noise if anyone tried to carry him away. Oh boy, he is so proud of himself and we are one proud parents, of course. It will be any day now counting that he will be running and I’ll have to keep-up my strength to catch him..hehehe

This is the moment when I really could not determine what sort of feeling I have. As a mother I’m so happy that my baby is finally reaching the final stage of developmental milestone as a baby, he is now no longer a baby, he is now a toddler BUT deep down in my heart I'm just not ready with all this, maybe it's just too fast.

As I’m writing now, I suddenly thinking how I wish I could turn back the clock and do again what I used to do with him for the last 13months but this time around with better plan ahead. Hey don’t get me wrong, of course I'm so blessed, Alhamdulillah, I’m so glad that he is able to walk now and making so much joy in our life, and things have never been better now without him. BUT, for the first time I actually missed that baby-ibu-daddy things that we used to do together especially during my confinement time.

Hairee, you are always my little ones..ibu & daddy sayang hairee sangat.

Hairee's Milestone

Learning turning his body at 4months

He took his sweet time during 'meniarap' from 6months to 9months

Hairee in sitting position, he captured this pace before crawling

Crawling at 11months

And now he can play football with daddy...

Long waited teeth

Hairee got his first teeth this week, two on the bottom, at last 'syukur alhamdullilah'.

He's figuring out what he can do with them, so far he will grab anything and bite it, victimizing fridge magnets, teddy bears, his favorite pillow and etc. I have to say, he came through this new teeth thing pretty well, very little pain and mild fever, alhamdullilah.

I'm going to have to start giving him foods with more texture. It is actually make my life easier as I could save a lot time in the morning to cook his foods without to grind anymore. We've mainly just given him biscuits, breads, cheese to chew on.

Couldn't figure yet how to take the picture of his teeth. Soon...very soon.

Ibu..hairee nak susu

What amused me this morning when hairee said ‘nenen…nenen..nenen’ when he cried hungrily asking for milk. Sorry guys, some of you might say I’m overreacted but that doesn’t bother me at all (hahaha) perhaps I’m just too excited. Being first time mother did just so naïve to me not knowing what he will do next. ‘Nenen’ word which means milk or ‘susu’ was actually first word that I ever recalled saying to him.

Hairee's first few words

I'm still remember Hairee used to say 'Da..Da..Da' when he was as little as 4months old.

Nowadays, he likes to defend reply whenever we speaks to him with his both hands grab tightly screaming..ahhh..ahhh..ahhh..as long as he can. He did says ma...ma..once a while too

I'm anxiously waiting for him to say ibu or bu..
