Again, I like to use the phrase by old people but I think this one everyone has already heard about it. Old people are saying that ‘pertalian yang sejuk antara anak & ibubapa’ if their babies follow the opposite gender of their parents which means, baby girl should follow daddy face while baby boy should follow mommy face.
When we had dinner outside last night, we met old friends, a couple with 2 years old son. We have one thing in common, having to wait so long to have a baby. They have waited 11 years before arrival of their son whereby we have to wait 5 years.
Back to our topic, look alike. When we met them, the first thing I noticed that their son looks 80% like his daddy but surprisingly we were told that their son is so close to his daddy rather than his mama. When they were touching and playing with Hairee, I asked the wife, are we look alike? She just smile and reluctantly said 'Macam Willy lah'. I straight away looked at Willy and as expected he smirked satisfiedly. So does it mean that Hairee &Willy will face ‘hot bonding’’!!
When I first heard someone saying that he looks like his daddy, I did not agree at all. Being the one that have to endure the pain of pregnancy, carrying him around for 9 months, I was actually a bit disappointed, but as time goes by it really does not matter to me anymore.
Hairee has definitely got my big eyes, ‘dahi jendul’ and kulit melayu. Other than that he is more of copying Willy from nose, lip, ears and hair and ‘air muka’. Although he is mix-marriage child but a lot of people actually cannot identify as he looks more to Melayu face instead Chinese due to his big eyes.
The chart above showing that Hairee looks equally like me and willy.

hi Nisda,
While I was back in Malaysia people kept saying, Ala comelnya dia muka cam daddy dia. I was irritated of this kind of statement after sometime. Comel je cam daddy, maknya tak comel ke? Mia ha ha ha.
But here, people would say, (usually the men lah LOL) "She's beautiful like the mother". Ni pun segan lah gak, because never used to such compliments.
But as you say it doesn't really matter. But I told my husband next baby if it's a son, I hope he'd look more like me. He he he
